Cartoons From 1995

During the late summer and early fall of 1995, Andrew Wahl self-published three monthly issues of The Shooting Star. The newspaper, distributed throughout Washington’s Snohomish County, was mostly used as an outlet for pop-culture reviews and a backlog of previously unpublished cartoons. A single new toon, “The Ax-Man” [Archive No. 9501], appeared in the second issue. It went on to be named best Editorial Graphic in the college division of the 1996 Washington Press Association awards competition.
