Synopsis: With Tigra under his mental control, Kraven captures Spider-Man and forces the heroes into a battle to the death.

Review: There’s a reason the team of Chris Claremont and John Byrne was so popular during the Bronze Age: They were consummate comic-book pros. While the duo’s work on Marvel Team-Up never reached the heights of their legendary X-Men run, each of their MTU issues was a well-crafted treat. Here, Claremont offers up a done-in-one tale with nice character moments and just enough back story to bring readers up to speed. Byrne’s art is the perfect compliment, mixing clear storytelling and dynamic character work. MTU #67 might not be high art, but it’s a fine example of the era’s superhero fare.
Grade: A-
Cool factor: Byrne draws an amazing Tigra. (But, at this point in his career, Byrne drew an amazing everybody!)
